I'm a big believer that this Blog should be dedicated to SU! and what beautiful projects can be made using Stampin' Up! products........ BUT, I think you should know why I haven't been posting much lately................

 For 20 years I was having a Migraine about 3-5 times a week........I hated it, and tried so many things to combat them.  Around 4 years ago, while at my Neurologist I was told about a study that Duke was conducting about the correlation between Migraines and  PFO (Patent Foramen Ovale, sp?).  When you are in the Uterus there is a hole in your heart (kind of like a flap) that everyone has......well, when you take your first breath this 'flap' closes.  For a certain amount of people the hole/flap doesn't close, and you usually find out that you have one (A PFO) when you have a Stroke.  This blind study takes Migraine sufferers (is that a word?) and tests them to see if they have a PFO.  And if they do, they may or may not close them........they take you in and it's not until they have you under and in the cath lab to pick a paper out of a basket on whether or not they close it.  You don't know for the first year, and they have you write down your migraines and at the end of the year they let you know if they closed it.  Well, mine was closed!  Whew!  I did NOT want to worry about having a Stroke!!  Well, my migraines went from 3-5 times a week to 2-10 a MONTH!!  That was, for me, like I had been born again!!   They (Dr's) were wondering why it cut down on them, but didn't eliminate them, so at the end of the year they tested me again for a PFO and found out that it was partially closed, but not all the way.  They went in again and closed it with another device.  Now, I was only having one migraine a MONTH!!  And this was around that time of the month, so it was totally hormonal.

Fast forward to about 2 months ago, and I started getting migraines again and was worried that my PFO had again come open.
I went in last week and the results were that it is still closed!!  But, this all started up again when last month I was two weeks late for that time of month, and I had my tubes tied so I didn't worry that it was late because of getting pregnant.  Well, it seems that I am having Hormonal fluctuations quite a bit and that is what is causing the migraines.  The Dr. put me on a preventative and it didn't help the migraines, BUT did cause me to get Vertigo!!  Oh joy!   I stopped that medication and am now on another preventative.
I plan on calling my Dr and having my Ovaries removed, and hopefully THAT will help the Migraines!!

Plus, as if I didn't have enough to deal with, my husband had surgery last week, so I was taking care of him.  I plan on starting to post more often, I just wanted you to know WHY I was being so flaky!! 

Ok, now onto my handmade card I made about Halloween!!  I love doing Halloween scrapbook pages, and decided after seeing a Zindorf card that I would see what a Halloween card would look like.......................I followed her instructions, but changed up a couple of things.  I LOVE how it came out!!  You will have to tell me what you think!! 



I plan on doing this same technique for my Scrapbook class next month!!  I am so excited to do my halloween page!  You know that each year, if you have kids, they get all dressed up and go out trick or treating, and I HAVE to make a page about it, so each page MUST be different!  Can't have them all the same!!  How boring would that be?!!    Can't you see it?  Won't this be a cool border?!!
