Today's post is a card that I was inspired by PaperCrafts magazine (May/June) to make.  They had a card using real buttons that has butterflies on top of them.  I changed it up to suit my needs and what I had on hand.

I used the Hostess Pack of Designer Series Paper III, and used three of the Retiring Colors-Apricot Appeal, Ruby Red and Brocade Blue.  I love these colors and will miss them, but am so excited for the new ones to get here!!  

For the Buttons I used the Sizix Die Buttons #5 using these colors: Cameo Coral, Barely Banana, and Bordering Blue. , I sponged the edges and popped them up with Dimensionals.   

I also used the scallop trim border punch for the Ruby Red Designer Paper on the side.  This handmade card is very simple, yet still very elegant!  What do you think?



I LOVE those buttons!!    The PaperCrafts magaine is a great place to get some ideas.  You can take any card you see in there, use what you have at home and make a great card!!  My good friend Pam Hicks (who will be a guest artist this week!) gave me the subscription!  THAT'S what I call a good friend!!   I didn't have to pay for anything!
