Today I am going to share a handmade card I did for the Card Sketch Challenge on Stampin' Connection (a place for Demo's to go where they can get TONS of ideas, and where they have a way to challenge each other.   

The challenge today is to do a card with this sketch:





Of course I wanted to use one of my brand new sets that I got to pre-order from the Summer Mini!!   I tell you, if you EVER thought of having a job where you could work from home, working with Stampin' Up! is the way to go!  This Company takes care of us, and provides us with the keys to make this a career or a hobby.  Whichever way you want to go, it's easy!!

Now, my husband LOVES tropical themes.  Both our front and back yard is FULL of palms, banana trees, and all kinds of tropical plants..........so getting this stamp set was a NO BRAINER for me!!   We live in NC, and it's not exactly the Deep South, but he makes it work!  Our neighbors say we have a tropical paradise, and 'why would you ever want to leave home?'   

When I saw this set, with it's palm tree, fronds, flowers and umbrella drink from a coconut..............I just HAD to buy it! 

What I did with this sketch is I knew that Summer Sun is a Gorgeous color, and when you put it with Chocolate Chip and the green, it just POPS!!  Summer Sun makes me think hot and summer, so with the Palm theme I went for it!



I LOVE the Corduroy Buttons!   And the ones in Summer Sun are so Pretty!! 

I also used the Modern Label punch, to make it look like you layer with this punch, just punch it out in the two colors and cut the bottom one in half and then spread it out so it is the desired layer.
