NEW class on Monday 1-18-10

I am planning a handmade card class where we will do THREE cards for only $10.00!!  Below you will see the three cards we will be doing.  I am going to prepare for this class tomorrow, so don't wait to let me know if you want to join us.  We will be meeting at the Senior Center downstairs in the Kernersville Library at 9:45 a.m.   These cards are FANTASTIC so don't miss out!!

Here is the First card we will be doing.  This is inspired by Sandi MacIver.  This uses the New stamp set Vintage Vogue and the coordinating wheel Very Vintage.  I did the wheel on the bottom of the card using Versamark and then gold ep on Very Vanilla cardstock.  With the Frost White All purpose ink from the last mini (STILL available!!) mixed with Pretty in Pink re-inker I colored in the flower using a small paint brush.  I then used the cutter kit to rough up the edges.  I also crumpled up the cardstock above where I did the wheel and then sponged the Soft Suede on the entire piece paying careful attention to where the creases are so it will look 'vintage'.  After all this, I used a sponge and with the Champagne Mist All Purpose ink rubbed the entire surface to give it a VERY shimmery look!!   I stamped the scroll like leaves on Pixie Pink with Versamark and then used the White EP, used the cutter kit once more to rough up the edges.  Then I sponged the Soft Suede to make it 'vintage'.  For the Soft Suede layer beneath it I used the New punch from the Saleabration Mini (which you can get for FREE when you order $50.00!!).  For the inside of the card I used the scroll like leaves once more using the Soft Suede ink.  I also stamped the Friend image and then stamped 'Forever' using the stamp set from SU! Fundamental Phrases.  I 'wrapped' it all up with the Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon (available in the Occasions mini) and Voila!  A Beautiful handmade Card!!!

Inspired by Dacia Smith.  This card also uses Vintage Vogue (love it! Can you tell?!)  It is just one layer, and a great way to show you don't HAVE to have layers to have a Beautiful handmade card!!  I used the Sizzix Bigz Die - Frame Oval Scallop to make the oval sponged area.  IF you come to class you will get this oval made from Acetate to use again and again!  I sponged the center of the Oval with Melon Mambo and then removed the mask (the oval acetate) and then stamped the vine around the edges using Always Artichoke, leaving space for the flowers that I stamped using the Very Vintage stamp.  The GREAT thing about getting your stamps unmounted is that you can see EXACTLY where you are putting your stamp and can keep it around the oval!!  I stamped the big flower using Craft More Mustard and then the Clear EP, then cut it out.  The centers are Crystal Effects.  VERY pretty card!!

Designed by ME!  The last card we will be handmaking is from the Stamp set Thoughts and Prayers and also from Vintage Vogue (thought I wasn't going to use it, didn't you?!)  We will also be using the new Scallop Trim Corner punch (Occasions mini) along with the Scallop Trim punch (Saleabration mini) where you will learn how to make the scallops go around the entire card.
The colors used are Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery.  I used markers to do the main image.  I also used the stamp set Well Scripted.

Well?  Ready to come to the class?  I will be doing these same cards for my night class at my home in Kernersville on the 4th Tuesday of this month.  If you can't come in the morning of the 18th at the Senior Center you can always come to my house at 6:30 p.m.on the   26th.

Have a Great Stamping Day!!
