Christmas Tree using Sizzix Petals a Plenty

I have seen this technique many times, so I figured that I would give it a try.  So, I pulled out my Sizzix from SU! and my Petals a Plenty embossing folder.   I put my Whisper White Stampin' Up! paper inside the folder and then cut out some chipboard in the shape of a Christmas tree and laid it under the folder.

This is not 'under' the folder, but I wanted you to see how to lay it after you have your paper inside the folder.

You will, depending on your Sizzix, need to put some extra shims or cardstock under the sandwich so you can have a good embossed image.  Just play with it until you have a good tight fit, but not too tight.

After running my embossing folder through the Sizzix I got the image above, and then I went in and colored the dots in the middle of each flower with the Rich Razzleberry marker, I then covered that with some glitter glue to get some sparkle!  You KNOW how I love sparkle!!

I then cut a diagonal line beside each side of the 'tree' and slid my ribbon through.  And it just so happened that the top of the tree had a complete flower so I colored in the entire flower so it could be my tree top.......NOT sure I could do that again!  LOL  I then layered the white embossed sheet on top of some Rich Razzleberry paper and then stamped my Merry Christmas sentiment from the Four Holidays stamp set to finish this Beautiful hand stamped Christmas Card!  What do you think?  Do you like it?  Would you like to make it?  Well, now that you mention it, I am planning on making this card tomorrow night at my Tuesday night Hostess/Stamp club!!  Anyone is welcome, just let me know if you plan on coming.  It is at 6:30 p.m. at my home in Kernersville NC!  I hope to see you there!

Have a Great Stamping Day!
