Medallion-Cottage Wall DSP

I saw this really cool card, that reminded me of a technique I haven't done in a while.  So, thanks to Ruth N.  I am going to show you this awesome handmade card using this technique.

I took a piece of Cottage Wall DSP (Designer Series Paper) and cut it to the size that I wanted.  I then stamped the SU! stamp set Madallion in the corner with Versamark, and then embossed this image with Clear EP.  I then took my Brayer (again from Stampin' Up!) and rolled on the Rich Razzleberry (new in color) to cover the entire piece of DSP.  Where I embossed the Medallion the ink didn't stick, so what showed through was the Cottage Wall paper!

I then cut out a small circle using SU!'s 1/2" circle punch (which fits PERFECTLY on the Build a Brad!!) from the Cottage Wall paper.  I also used the horizontal slot punch so I could put the Pretty in Pink satin ribbon through it.......I didn't want it to go the entire length of the card, so this worked perfect!!   This is such a pretty handmade card!  I think I will have this be one of the cards I have my class do next month on the 2nd Tuesday at my home in Kernersville NC.  We will make two more cards at that time too,  but I have a feeling this will be a FAVORITE!

Did you know that the Medallion is Stampin' Up!'s top selling stamp set?  I can believe it, since it is MY favorite!!  If you haven't purchased it yet, make sure you give me a call to put your order in, or go to my web site and purchase it yourself (it will come directly to your house!), just click on the 'Shop Now' button and have fun!

Isn't this pretty?!!  I LOVE it!!

Have a Great Stamping Day!
