Embrace Life with Vellum

I wanted to work on Vellum today, and I came up with this handmade card using Stampin' Up!'s Embrace Life using Versamark and then embossing with White.  I then used the NEW All-Purpose Ink (available in the Holiday Mini coming out for September!), it is called Frost White, and it leaves a very nice shimmery finish!  It really makes this card look elegant, don't you think?  I also used the small half pearls from the Pretties Kit and white ribbon for the top.  To attach this to the SU! white cardstock I used glue dots under the half pearls and under the ribbon.  Any time you want to use Vellum you need to put your adhesive where it won't show through.

This would be a great wedding invitation or thank you card!   I really love working with Vellum, no matter what you do it comes out great!

The Cards for The Troops day is coming up on the 22nd!!   The time will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  PLEASE come out and help us put together cards!  We are working on the last 5000 cards, and we NEED your help!   We will be at the Kernersville Senior Center at 130 E Mountain St Kernersville, NC.  It is downstairs in the K'ville library.   If you can't come, please consider helping us with the shipping and other costs.  To ship 5000 cards it costs $150.00, and we could really use anything you can donate!!   We also have the expenses for the envelopes which is another $300.00.  I am excited to get these last cards to the troops, they have already received their first batch and they were so touched that we thought of them!     The Chaplain for one of the ships emailed me and told me how great it was that NOW the men and women on his ship can stay in touch with their families MUCH easier!  I let him know that we only sent 2 per person, and that we are sending two more per person!  He is going to take pictures and send them to me, and I will post them here on my blog!  Any help you can give us is much appreciated!!

Have a Great Stamping Day!!
