Nature's Nest Impressions folder

Tonigh.t I have a class, and I wanted to do a card I designed on my own.  Yikes!  Can I do it!?  Of course I can!  Really if you ever want to do a card on your own, just pick out a card you like, keep the same design/layout, and you choose the colors you want to use and you are almost done, without even doing anything!

I started off wanting to use the peacock feathers in the new SU! stamp set Nature's Nest.  I then looked up a picture of a peacock feather so I can make it as realistic as possible.  To my delight I found one, and it was pretty much like the one that Stampin' Up! did on the stamp!  WooHoo!  Here is the picture I went from:

Now the stamp set is too small to add the extra dark color in the middle, but it is so pretty I just had to use the colors I saw (Certainly Celery, Creamy Caramel and Tempting Turquoise (using markers).   Having done that, I stamped the image three times on white cardstock and then sponged using creamy caramel, and then on top of that I used Chocolate Chip.  Then I layered the two colors with this stamped image.   After putting the card together and using the square Rhinestones (which btw are in the SAME colors I chose!) I still felt like it needed something.......so since I had used the square rhinestones I used the textures kit #4 using the square impressions folder for the Big Shot!!  Love it!!
I then stamped Best Wishes from the Oval All stamp set and sponged it with the Chocolate Chip and then used the oval scallop punch.   I also used the mat pack for the holes and poked holes across the bottom of my Chocolate Chip piece.   Do you like it?   I hope so, since I am going to use this card for my class tonight!

Have a great Stamping Day!!
