Nature's Nest

I am back from my vacation in Southern California!  I had a great time, and I had some cards that were ready to go while I was gone, I hope you enjoyed them while I was there.

I have been trying to catch up from being away, so have patience with me!  I have a handmade card that I had in my mind and this is the finished product.  It didn't turn out how I wanted it to, but I really think it looks elegant and I love the silver embossing powder, it makes it very shiny!

I used Stampin' Up's! Not Quite Navy as the base of the card, and for the layers, and then I added Bashful Blue.  The main part of the card is silver paper, and then I embossed with silver embossing powder.  The punches are the Wide Oval, the Large Oval and the Modern Label.  The cardstock I used for the Large Oval was completely embossed with the Silver embossing powder, which makes it all tie in together, it's hard to see here, but it is very shiny.   This is one of the new stamp sets that SU! has in the new Idea Book & Catalog, if you haven't received one yet, give me a call and we'll talk!

My schedule for this month is a little off since I was gone.  My class at the Senior Center in Kernersville is not until the 17th.  This will be our regular class starting at 9:45 a.m.  We will make a 6 X 6 scrapbook page showing how to do a technique and then we will do a card using the technique we just learned.  And last but not least we will make one more card.  It's a lot of fun, so make sure you attend!

I have my Hostess class at night on the 11th at my home starting at 6:30 p.m.    And my scrapbook class is on the 18th also at my home and starting at 6:30 p.m.  All are welcome to attend, just give me a heads up if you plan on attending.

Have a great Stamping Day!!
