Manhattan Flower Die

Have you missed me?!  I feel like it's been forever!  But, I think it hasn't been all that long, it's just that I have been so busy doing classes, getting ready for the Quarterly Meeting here in Kernersville NC and working on the Cards for the Troops that it just seems like it has been a long time.

Let me tell you a little about the QM for the SU! demos......Here in NC we get together and have a meeting that usually meets on a Friday night and into the next day until around 4-5.  It is a FULL day (and night!) of amazing projects and snacks and LOTS of visiting and sharing!  If you live in NC and would love to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator you just have to sign up under me and you too can go to these meetings!

Today, SU! had the winners for their Summer Challenge up on the Demonstrator website and I was so taken by a certain card that I just HAD  to make it!!  And guess what?  Since I made it, YOU can see it!  Yippee!   I know, I'm a goober.  :-/

This card uses the Manhattan Flower Die for the Sizzix and WOW is it easy!!  You just put paper in the folder run it through the machine and Voila you have a great impression that you can just sponge color on!  I've seen cards done with this die using Vellum and it is GOJUS!!  I will try that later.

Enough suspense!!  Here it is!

The colors I used are:  Black for base and behind image, Mellow Moss and Very Vanilla.  I then sponged these colors: Rose Red, Regal Rose and then Pretty in Pink (for the flower, working the brighter in the middle to less so at the edges) and then I sponged Mellow Moss around the edges.   I wonder if it would look good with Crystal Effects on the flower?  Hmmmmm, Maybe next time!

I am going to keep the paypal link at the bottom of each post so if you get the nudge to donate for the Cards for the Troops you can!

OH! Don't forget that I am having the scrapbooking night where we make 20 pages for $30.00 next Tuesday (May 26th) and if you want to join us you need to prepay for that so I can order your Scrappin' Kit in time for the class.  The deadline is in TWO days (May 21st).

Have a great Stamping Day!
