Cracked Glass

I am getting ready for class tonight and I am going to call this class Technique Tuesday!  I have two handmade cards that I am doing that use techniques......one is Cracked Glass, and that is the one I am going to show you right now.

This is Stampin' Up!'s stamp set Sense of Time from the mini Occasions.  I LOVE this stamp set!  I think it makes great cards, and it also makes great scrapbook pages!   If you look closely you can see the cracked glass.......this is a great technique.  The colors I chose for this card are Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss.  I stamped the clock image on Whisper White and then used Versamark all over it, and then poured Glassy Glaze on top and heat it.  One quick tip......when you are heating it, heat from the BOTTOM first since this will melt it a little and it will make the fly aways a lot less.  You'll see what I mean when you use this.  After you put two layers of the Glassy Glaze and heat it, you put it in the freezer for around 10 minutes.  Once the time is up, you take it out and IMMEDIATELY bend the cardstock in all ways and it will crack!!   I also used the Circle Cutter plus tool and if you put temporary adhesive on back of cardstock after you stamp clock, you set the dial on 3 1/8 and away you go (makign sure that center of clock is in center of cutter)!!  Then set it a quarter inch bigger and cut out the circle in a coordinating color.  Then I used the 1 3/4" circle punch around the saying.  Easy Peasy!!

Give me a call if you want to come to any of my classes.  I am doing a 20 page scrapbook class on the 4th Tuesday of the month (May 26th) at my home in Kernersville.  The cost is only $30.00 for 20 pages!!  You MUST prepay for this class by next Tuesday the 19th to be able to come to this class.

Have a great Stamping Day!
