Crab and Company Gift Card Holder

I had another demo show me this card template.  Her name is Andrea W. and she is great!  I am always looking for new ways to give Gift Certificates in cards.  I hate when they just slide around.  Thank you Andrea!!

I thought for this card I would do a B-day card using Crab & Company.....I just love this set!

To start out cut a piece of cardstock to 10 1/2" X 3 1/2".

Score at 3" & 7"

Place Cardstock where the middle sized layer is up against your grid sheet, and mark with a pencil at 1/4" on both sides and at 1 1/4" and 2 1/4".

I didn't take a picture of the markings on BOTH sides at 1/4" but make sure you do that!

Take your word window punch and bring it to the 1/4" mark (on both sides) and have it against the other marks at 1 1/4" and the 2 1/4" marks.

Flip CS around and at the smallest section you will punch HALF of a circle using your 1" circle punch from Stampin' Up!

This is what your cardstock will look like now:

Close the tabbed end and mark where the top of the tab hits the cardstock with a pencil on both sides.

Sorry this is blurry, if you look carefully you can see the pencil mark on right side of tab.

You will then get out your crafters tool kit and poke a hole where the pencil lines are.

Once that is done, take out your hobby blade, make sure you have your cutting mat below the CS.  Cut from one of the holes to the other to make a place for your tab to go through.

Then you will want to put some of SU!'s Sticky Strip on the two side edges of the side you just cut, like this:

Once you take off the Sticky Strip fold over so it makes a pocket.  I stamped on the pocket so it will be my greeting.  I also put in one of my Starbuck Gift Cards so you could see what a card will look like inside.

I then stamped the panel for the front of the card, and then stamped another layer so I could use my Crab and Company.  I also put on some googly eyes, and colored in my image using the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and then for the sand I used my 2-way glue pen and some Dazzling Diamonds.  Here is the finished project!!

Isn't it cute!!??  This will be one of my cards that we will be doing at the Senior
Center below the Kernersville Library on the 21st of July.  You will be able to make two of these cards and then two masculine cards and one for a woman.
All 10 cards for the low price of $20.00!!  The minimum you can buy a handmade card for is $3.00, so you are getting more for your $$!  I hope to see you there, and have a great rest of your day!!
