Another hand made vellum card-Touch of Nature

I've been thinking a lot about masculine cards.  They are hard to come by.  They aren't the first card I think about when making a card, I usually like the frilly/girly cards.  I love flowers and the color pink.  Doesn't everyone?
Well, I also was thinking of a trick I learned when using vellum, so I came up with this card.

I stamped the image using StazOn black ink, and then flipped the vellum cardstock over, and then using my Stylus from SU! and pressing softly at first following the lines for the birds belly. Once you soften up the vellum (you have to be careful at first or it will poke a hole) you can press more firmly.  This will leave a white image that bumps out. And that always gives you an added dimension to your hand made cards! Here is what it looks like.

Can you see that it dips in?

Then I colored the back side of the vellum using Real Red from the Watercolor Wonder Crayons, and the head I used Rose Red.  I then flipped over the vellum cardstock so the puffy part is on the outside and then colored the leaves using the WWC also using the Garden Green and then used Chocolate Chip on the stems.  I did a little sponging around the Vellum cardstock using  Creamy Caramel, I also used the Caramel sponge for around the Creamy Caramel Card Stock.  I stamped the Sanded Background stamp using Close to Cocoa, but I stamped off first so the color wouldn't be so bold.  I love this set and hate that it is retiring!  If you would like to get it before it goes let me know!
Here is the finished card:

I forgot to tell you, I added a little Dazzling Diamonds to the eye, I think it makes it look more alive!

At my class at the Senior Center (Downstairs in the Kernersville Library) on the 21st of July I plan on doing 10 cards for $20.00.  Two of them will be masculine cards, two will be childrens cards and one will be for a woman.  You will get two of each card, so the total is 10 cards.  I figure the girly are so much easier, you won't need too much help with that!
Hope you like this card!  Have a great day!
