Priceless-Cracked Glass

This is a hand made card I made using the cracked glass technique.   The scan does NOT do this card justice, you will have to look carefully to see the cracks.  Also the scanner scanned the green way off.  The green I used is SU!'s Green Galore, and as you can see it doesn't look like that!  I guess you will have to ask to come by my house in Kernersville to see it for yourself!   I colored the ribbon to match using Stampin' Up!'s markers...I did Lavender Lace on both sides and then went down the center using Pixie Pink.  That is such a great way to match your ribbon with your artwork!  And the great thing about it is that the ink goes through both sides!!   Give it a try and email me what you have done!  This is the Challenge for this week......The first person to respond will get a handmade card from me sent to them by snail mail!  So, let's get started!!

Great card. Could you tell me your secret...I get my card to crack and then the cracking falls off the card. Can you tell me about how to prevent that? Thank you! kt

I'm not sure if it's a secret or not, but I use SU!'s Glassy Glaze.  I put on two coats with versamark between each one.  Then I put it in the freezer for around 5-10 minutes.  When I take it out I crack it immediately.  I have never had it crack and fall off the card.  If I wait too long it won't do it.  Does this help?  If you live near me, I would love to have you come by and show you!
