Tea Bag Fold Card Tutorial
I have seen this technique around, so I just HAD to try it! I picked out which Designer paper to use (which is very hard to choose which SU! designer paper I want to use, since they have so many pretty ones). I chose Bali Breeze since I liked both sides and the colors work great with this technique.
I took the 12 X 12 paper and punched out 8 circles using Stampin' Up!'s 1 3/8 circle punch.

For each circle you will fold them in half.

Then you will fold it in half again.....you can unfold it and fold it again, but I found it much easier to just fold in half again with it closed. This way you don't have to worry about lining it up to be folded in half perfectly. Can you tell that I try to make everything as easy as possible for you?

Then open up your folds and at the bottom of one of the four panels fold up the bottom of the circle....like this.

You will do this with the one panel next to this one too.

Then turn this over and align folded circle along center line. Note.....only the folded circle part is to align to fold.

Do other side the same way.

Do this to all 8 pieces. I assure you that this step is easy and goes quickly.
Don't worry, you can do it!

See how fast and easy mine was?
Now, put adhesive on the back of one tea folded designer paper. Lay it on card where you want it.

Here is a picture of me placing my last piece. Just keep going around, making sure to align tip to tip and top of circle to top so it is the same.

I hope you can see that you are aligning each piece next to the other as it goes around a circle.
And here is the finished card!! I am having a class tomorrow night at my house in Kernersville, and this is one of the cards we are going to do!! I put a 1/2" circle into the middle of the flower because I wanted to bring in the other color of the flower.

I also used on this card the Sanded BG stamp, I used versamark and then clear EP. I also used the 1/4" circle punch to make the circles on the top and side. I then punched out the oval and stamped the 'cherish' from the Warm Words stamp set on the Rose Red layer under the black. This is such a striking card! Everyone will be able to learn hands-on how to make the tea bag fold at my class tomorrow night!
Don't forget that it is Sale-a-Bration time! At this once a year event that SU! has, all you need to do to get free stamps is buy $50.00 worth of product! You can buy the Designer paper for this card, plus both circle punches, the Sanded BG stamp plus some paper and you would qualify for a SAB stamp set!! SAB is only for 6 weeks, it ends March 17th, so don't delay! Call me if you have any questions!!
